Biomethane to 2050: new report by Navigant Energy published
Biomethane and hydrogen will help Europe to eliminate CO2 emissions by 2050 and save € 217 billion per year

The report by Ecofys (now part of Navigant), commissioned by the Gas for Climate Consortium, of which Snam and CIB are also members, has been published today. It updates the report published last year, illustrating the potential of hydrogen and biomethane, alongside electricity produced from renewables, to ensure the continent a less costly energy transition, playing a key role in domestic heating, industrial processes, electricity production, and heavy transport.
